I am a hobby breeder currently located in Toms Brook, Virginia. My dogs live in the house as family companions, but also are active competion dogs. Dogs I own or have bred have earned show championships, agility championships, obedience, tracking, lure coursing, and dock diving titles; have placed in AKC SPO field trials, and National Beagle Club Triple Challenges; have competed in AKC & USDAA national agility competitions, NBC pack trials, and BHCA hunting performance tests.
I started out in the dog world with Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, which I had moderate success competing in agility and hunt tests. In 1999, I acquired my first Beagle from Echo Run Beagles in Pennsylvania - a show line also known for obedience and rabbit hunting dogs. When I announced to my friends that I had a new agility prospect, they laughed, saying "you can't do agility with a Beagle !" See Echo's page for the rest of the story! Echo was all I could have hoped for, and the beginning of Hare-Raiser Beagles.
